In preparation for the May, 2012 Charity Tour of Homes, I got to take the best field trip this week to Hendersonville, TN to check out three of the uber pretty homes that will be on tour. There will be more to come from NanceSense on what’s cool, new and different in these stunning homes ranging in style from Louisiana Farm House to a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired.
In the meantime, when up in the Hendersonville area, I always like to stop by Patricia Jane & Company right off the main drag. Originally introduced to me by interior designer Jane Greenway, this store is run by her niece and an assortment of other very helpful ladies.
Check out their website to see the wide variety of items they carry. In addition to several great birthday presents, I grabbed a Romatique candle in grapefruit fandango with a clean, fresh, happy scent.
The item I am most thrilled by is a Hadaki On-The-Run Laptop Bag. Immediately taken with the black, white and color colors, the classy fleur-de-lis motif was just a bonus. (And the emblem of my college sorority – Kappa Kappa Gamma!)
Hadaki is a line carried by New Orleans based company Kalencom. I’m not a huge shopper so perhaps the whole world is familiar with their line baby products. I wasn’t but here are a few things their marketing touts:
-Eco friendly – Hadaki is committed to environmental concerns and the products are AZO free with no Phthalates/DEHP or DBP. I have no idea what any of that means but it all sounds like a good idea.
-Based in New Orleans where we draw from the city’s energy and vitality to create exciting new designs.
The product also has super thick padding, twin rubber feet to keep the bag from the ground and a coated canvas exterior making it durable, water resistant and easily cleaned. Since I constantly drop things and can get messy when I’m super busy, can’t wait to see how this product holds up. For more info, visit Hadaki online.
